How to get your company cited by Perplexity

Grovia Digital gets companies cited by Perplexity with pages that answer buyer questions in the first sentence, one consistent company description everywhere, and the external sources Perplexity reads. We tested it on ourselves first.

What Perplexity reads

In our September baseline, Perplexity cited 2,683 sources. 46 % were the providers’ own websites, 24 % comparison lists and 7 % press release portals. Perplexity reads more widely than ChatGPT, so both your own pages and outside sources count.

Three steps

  • One page per buyer question. The question is the heading, the answer is the first sentence, with your company name in it.
  • One consistent self-description: the same sentence on your website, footer, profiles and structured data, so the assistant knows exactly who you are.
  • External sources: comparison lists, press releases and directories that Perplexity already cites for your topic.

What it does not guarantee

Our own result is one question on one platform, and the platforms also move on their own. That is why we measure before and after on a fixed set of questions instead of promising a position.

It worked on ourselves: in October 2026, Perplexity named Grovia Digital on a real buyer question, up from 0 of 525 answers in September. Read the case
